I worked an average of 30 to 35 hours a week, and spent the other time bonding with my son but struggled making any kind of a living especially not what we were used to from roofing.

She was going to be a nurse.

As a high school student I quickly got a job to help relieve the burden at home.

My parents brought in a combined income of $50,000 yearly.

I was desperate to find a way to help support my family so we all could live better stress free lives.

I needed something different so I got a job as a part-time manager at a fast food restaurant starting out at $7 an hour .

After being out of high school for several years, and my brothers and sister grown, I decided it was time to move out of my house and start a life of my own.

I missed a lot of school so my brothers and sister would have food and a roof over their head.

I ended up missing so many days of school because I was working so much that I eventually stopped going.

I was dead to the world.

We were the less fortunate kids at school that other children would make fun of for not having name brand clothing, and having to wear hand me downs.

She was young, beautiful and worked as a night stocker in the clothing department part time while she was finishing school.

I would come straight home to sleep and wake up again to do the exact same thing the next day.

She was working 25 hours a week bringing home anywhere between $100-150 depending on tips.
